Four rotating tubes: the vectored-thrust test bench
Each main motor sits at the end of a carbon tube that rotates to point its thrust forward, up or down.
Bench-testedThe bench checks the tube drive, the motor mount and the control software that shares every command between the four vectoring propellers and the three fins.
At low speed, position and attitude come from the four propellers alone, turning slowly and quietly. We call this silent hover.
